What traversal skills do Aniimo provide?

Capturing specific Aniimo opens paths across areas you have already visited.

While your character can swim across bodies of water and use a hoverboard to move faster over ground in open areas, creature abilities provide access to vertical terrain and submerged routes.

Bolty, for example, possesses level two climbing, which enables it to scale walls and sheer surfaces. Other wild catches carry you underground, through the air, or down into deep water to reach spaces that cannot be entered on foot.

Revisiting earlier zones

Catching new creatures expands your exploration options across old terrain. Certain locations require these field powers to reach, such as the hidden cave near Beast Fang Ridge by the waterfall where the river meets the ocean.

Keep in mind that Omega Aniimo cannot be captured. Any traversal technique you want to add to your roster must come from standard wild creatures.
