Guides › How to burn vines and reach hidden nests in Aniimo

What traversal abilities do Aniimo provide?

Each Aniimo provides its own distinct physical traversal ability while twining, opening up map navigation options across the world such as sprinting, climbing vertical walls, swimming, diving, gliding, flying, and burrowing underground.

Twining outside combat activates these forms, though skills like Hustle drain stamina.

Land travel relies on specific running abilities and mounts to cover open ground. Emberpup uses Hustle for rapid sprinting across the map, while Helion has an exploration mobility version of Hustle that raises sprint and movement speed at the cost of stamina.

Vertical mobility lets you bypass cliffs and gaps. Creatures with the climb trait scale vertical walls and sheer cliff faces. Gliding and flight permit aerial crossings, with Celestis capable of both climbing walls and flying or gliding. For extra vertical reach, Nimbi uses Puff Up to jump higher and perform a single horizontal dash in mid-air.

Water and subterranean travel

Creatures with the swim trait allow you to cross bodies of water across different biomes, while diving permits submerged exploration. For underground caves and subterranean routes, specific Aniimo provide burrowing abilities to dig beneath the surface.

Targeted mobility skills

Certain Aniimo use targeted physical actions to navigate terrain. Pawney possesses the Hookshot skill, stretching its arm toward the centre of your view to pull itself directly to whatever it hits, either a wall or an enemy.
