Bloom map icons, warp points and Prismana light pillars
Touch a bloom once and it becomes a warp point. When its prismatic energy hits Full, a beam of light marks where a Prismana Aniimo has spawned.
The short version
- Blooms show on the world map as a flower icon. Its exact colour is not settled: it appears as a purple flower or as a dark blue tulip shape.
- The first time you interact with a bloom, it unlocks as a fast-travel warp point and reveals sections of the map around it.
- Once a bloom is unlocked, click it on the map to teleport straight there. Nurtured locations work the same way.
- When a bloom's prismatic energy reaches Full and Prismana flow starts, the bloom is forced to spawn a Prismana Aniimo, and a large beam of light rises beside it.
- When a Prismana Aniimo spawns, the map opens to show its exact location as an icon you can track.
Blooms do two jobs in Aniimo. They are your fast travel network, and they are where Prismana Aniimo come from. Both jobs start the same way: you find the bloom, walk up to it and interact with it.
This guide covers what a bloom looks like on the map, what happens when you unlock one, and how to read the pillar of light that tells you a Prismana Aniimo has spawned.
Spotting blooms on the map
Blooms are marked on the map with a flower icon. Its colour is not settled. It shows up as a purple flower and also as a dark blue tulip shape, so look for the flower outline and don't rely on the colour.
At first, much of the map is covered by fog of war. You clear it by activating bloom branches or waypoints, and each one you activate reveals more of the world map. Blooms are how you uncover the map, so it pays to head for any flower icon you can see near the edge of the fog.
Unlocking a bloom as a warp point
The first time you interact with a Bloom (the bloom fruit flower), two things happen. It unlocks as a fast-travel warp point, and it reveals sections of the map around it.
From then on, you can click that bloom on the map to fast travel straight to it. This is how you get back to places like Blitzwood without walking. Unlocked blooms link up the vein network locations across the world, so every one you activate adds another stop you can jump to.
Nurtured locations are fast travel points too. Once they are unlocked, you can teleport directly to them just like a bloom.
Prismana light pillars and spawns
Blooms also build up prismatic energy. When that energy reaches Full and Prismana flow starts, the bloom is forced to spawn a Prismana Aniimo.
You don't need to be standing next to it to notice. A large vertical beam of light appears beside the bloom and rises into the sky, marking the spawn location. If you see one of these pillars on the horizon, a Prismana Aniimo is waiting under it.
The map helps as well. When a Prismana Aniimo spawns, the map opens to show its exact location as an icon, and you can track that icon to get there. If the bloom it spawned from is one you have already unlocked, you can warp there directly.
Where to start
Interact with every bloom you pass, even if you are only travelling through. Each one clears fog, adds a warp point and gives you a quick route back later. When a pillar of light goes up, check the map, track the Prismana Aniimo icon and warp to the nearest unlocked bloom.
