How to Get Glimmer and Lumen Crystals

Glimmer is a premium currency in its own right, distinct from Lumen, and it can be exchanged for valuable items. The key property is the one above: Glimmer reaches into parts of the shop that would otherwise want your money. Treat it as purchasing power, not as pocket change.

Lumen Crystals are the paid side. They are sold in fixed denominations across six purchase tiers, so you choose a bundle rather than an amount.

The monthly pass sits between the two. It pays out over a 30-day period, and the size of that payout is not settled: it turns up as 3,000 Glimmer, as 300 premium currency, and as 330 Lumen crystals. Monetization is the subject of its own guide on this site, so that is as far as it goes here.

Almost everything in Aniimo pays a little Glimmer. Quests, daily tasks, events, elite training, boss battles, chests, puzzles, branch activities, the battle pass and the Holo Battle Simulator all contribute.

That breadth is convenient but it hides the real answer. Daily tasks and events are the most efficient way to farm Glimmer, and the rest is accumulation you pick up by playing normally. If you are deliberately saving, clear your dailies and turn up for events. Grinding boss battles for currency is not how you get there faster.

The steady Glimmer sink is Aniipods. Higher-tier pods cost Glimmer, and since catching is the point of the game, this is where a lot of your income quietly goes.

The larger sink is event entry. During the closed beta, entering the legendary Iresallis event, also written as Aris Halis, required Glimmer, with the legendary pity estimated at 4,500 to 6,000 Glimmer. Those figures were an estimate rather than a published number, but they are the right order of magnitude to plan around. If a legendary you want is on the way, a bank that size is not something you assemble in a weekend of dailies, which is the argument for banking Glimmer between events instead of spending it on pods the moment it arrives.

Capability Fruit costs 1,000 Glimmer in the shop. It is also obtainable free through regular gameplay, including by exchanging 20 Potential Seeds. Check your Seeds before you spend, because this is the easiest Glimmer in the game to waste.

Sparkling Cubes cost 1,500 Glimmer or premium currency, by way of purchasing 100 Sparkling Crystals and exchanging them at Outpost vendors. A Sparkling Pod works the same way: exchanging 100 sparkling crystals. The vendor side of this is covered properly in the shops and vendors guide.

Do your dailies, show up to events, and check your Potential Seeds before paying 1,000 Glimmer for something you already earned. Buy Lumen Crystals only if you want to skip the wait.
