Are Aniimo obtained from gacha banners?

No creature loot boxes or pack pulls exist anywhere in the game. A producer at the developer stated the intent was for Aniimo not to be a traditional creature-pull gacha, prioritizing discovery in the world instead. Expanding your roster relies entirely on field encounters and gameplay capture.

This structure applies to characters as well. Aniimo does not use gacha-style random pack pulls to obtain characters or creatures. You take on the role of the protagonist, called the Pathfinder, without rolling banners to unlock playable units.

Store purchases follow the same model. Items and progression aids sold in the shop are not exclusively locked behind paid currency and can be earned entirely through normal gameplay. Resources gathered while playing are then spent directly across several different upgrade systems.
