What does Sparkling Pigment do?

Sparkling Pigment rerolls the Sparkling colour of an Aniimo, can only be used on one that is already Sparkling, and rolls the colour at random on each use, including a chance at the Dazzling Sparkling style.

Each use is a fresh random roll, so the colour you like can be replaced by one you like less. There is no way to pick a target colour or to keep the old one. You spend the Pigment, you take what comes out, and if you want another try you spend another.

Nothing about the creature's strength changes. Sparkling status is purely cosmetic and Sparkling variants carry no stat increase over standard forms, so a reroll is a decision about looks only. Your team plays exactly the same afterwards.

The item is tied to sparkling Prismana Aniimo. If yours is Sparkling but not Prismana, applying a Prismana Orb to it produces a sparkling Prismana and keeps traits such as Alpha status and perfect potential.

What the reroll can land on

Each species has a set of standard Sparkling variants, labelled Type 1 to Type 10, which you can view in the in-game creature index. Above those sit Dazzling and Shadow, the rarest Sparkling types, with lower roll chances than Types 1 to 10. Dazzling is one of the possible results of a Pigment, which makes Dazzling the usual reason to keep rerolling. Expect most rolls to land on a common colour.

Getting a Sparkling Aniimo to use it on

A Pigment does nothing for an ordinary Aniimo, so the Sparkling trait has to come first. Catching with a Sparkling Cube gives a sparkling version, prismatics included, and the result is a common style 99% of the time and Dazzling 1% of the time. Ten Sparkling Stamps convert an Aniimo into its sparkling form. An egg carrying the sparkling mutation always hatches a sparkling Aniimo, though prismatic eggs only have a 0.5% chance of a sparkling or shadow mutation. Sparkling Cubes are scarce, so spend them on Aniimo you mean to keep on the active team rather than on every Prismana you catch.

Not settled: Whether a Sparkling Aniimo also has to be Prismana before a Pigment will apply is not settled. Species have either 10 or 12 Sparkling variants depending on the count, so how many results a reroll can land on is also unsettled.
