Sparkling Pigment and Sigils: how to reroll Sparkling hues
Every Sparkling you catch and report earns a Sigil, and Geoff swaps Sigils for Pigment. Version 1.1 lets you switch back to hues you have already unlocked, so a bad reroll no longer costs you the old one.
The short version
- Each Sparkling Aniimo you catch and report in the Aniimo report at the terminal awards one Sparkling Sigil.
- Sparkling Pigment is bought from Geoff at the Outpost, under the item exchange menu, and Sigils are what you trade him for it.
- One Sparkling Pigment buys one random reroll of a shiny Prismana Aniimo's colour palette, and a roll that lands on the hue you already had still uses up the Pigment.
- Before version 1.1 a reroll wiped the old colour for good. From 1.1, unlocked hues and the original Prismana colour can be switched back to freely.
- Sigils can also be saved and spent to turn a standard Aniimo into a sparkling one.
Sparkling Aniimo come with their own small economy. Catching one earns a Sparkling Sigil. Sigils buy Sparkling Pigment, and Pigment rerolls the hue of a sparkling Prismana Aniimo. Every step of that loop costs something, so it helps to know where each piece comes from before you start spending.
Version 1.1 changed the stakes. A reroll used to be a gamble you could lose permanently. Now it adds to a collection of hues you can move between. This guide covers where to earn Sigils, where to buy Pigment, what each reroll costs you, and how switching back works now.
How to earn Sparkling Sigils
Sparkling Sigils come from obtaining Sparkling Aniimo. Catching one is not enough on its own. You also have to report it in the Aniimo report at the terminal, and each Sparkling caught and reported awards one Sigil. Registering a sparkling Aniimo at an outpost or research console is the step that pays out, and the reward goes by a few names in game: sparkling marks, fragments, Sigils and shiny stamps all refer to this currency.
You don't have to spend Sigils as soon as you get them. They can be saved, which matters because they have two uses that compete with each other: buying Pigment and converting a standard Aniimo into a sparkling one. Registering creatures in general has its own guide on this site. For this loop, the point is simple: an unreported Sparkling has not paid you yet.
Where to buy Sparkling Pigment
Sparkling Pigment is bought from Geoff at the Outpost, under the item exchange menu. He is the merchant who takes Sparkling Sigils in exchange for Pigment, so the route is to catch Sparklings, report them, then visit Geoff.
Once bought, Pigment sits in your inventory under the pouch tab. Look there, not with your creature items, when you want to check how many rerolls you have in hand.
The cash shop also sells a Sparkling Collection bundle for 1,680 Lumin Crystals.

What a hue reroll costs and what it does
A Sparkling Pigment randomly rerolls the colour palette of a shiny Prismana Aniimo. Each reroll uses one Pigment. You can't choose the result, and you can't buy a specific colour.
The catch is duplicates. A reroll can land on the exact hue the Aniimo already has, and that roll still uses up the Pigment. This is still true after version 1.1. Rerolling a Sparkling hue always consumes resources whether or not anything visibly changes, so plan on wasted rolls when you budget your Sigils.
Don't confuse this with transmogrification, which is a broader change. Transmogrification alters an Aniimo's appearance by rerolling every accessible cosmetic slot at once, not just the Sparkling hue.
Version 1.1: switching back to unlocked hues
Before version 1.1, rerolling a Sparkling hue replaced the current colour for good. If you liked the colour you had, one bad roll took it away. The same went for a Prismana's original colour: reroll once and it was gone.
Version 1.1 improves Sparkling hue rolls for Sparkling Prismana Aniimo. A sparkling Prismana can now be switched freely between the sparkling hues it has unlocked, and back to its original Prismana colour. That original hue counts as an unlocked hue in its own right, so you can return to it even after using a Sparkling Cube.
In practice, rerolling is now about adding options instead of risking the one you have. Every new hue you roll joins the set you can pick from. The cost side has not changed, though. Duplicates still eat Pigment. The full list of 1.1 changes has its own article on this site.
Before version 1.1
- A reroll replaced the current colour irreversibly
- A liked colour could be lost
- A Prismana's original colour could be lost
From version 1.1
- The original Prismana hue counts as an unlocked hue
- Switch freely between unlocked Sparkling hues and the original colour
- A duplicate roll still consumes resources
How to get a Sparkling Aniimo from a standard one
You don't have to catch a Sparkling in the wild to own one. Saved Sparkling Sigils can be spent to convert a standard Aniimo into its sparkling variant. A standard Aniimo can also be made sparkling after capture with a sparkling item, either a Sparkling Cube or Sparkle Pigment.
Sparkling Cubes are the item with the least settled role. They are described both as the item you need to capture a Prismana and as an item used on Prismana you have already captured, to change their hue. Which use applies where is not settled yet. What to spend Cubes on has its own guide on this site, so this page won't repeat it.
Where to start
Report every Sparkling you catch at the terminal so it pays out its Sigil. Then decide whether those Sigils go to Pigment from Geoff or to converting a standard Aniimo. Since 1.1, rerolling a sparkling Prismana no longer costs you the hues you already have, so the only real risk is spending Pigment on duplicate rolls. Budget for that.
