How does Face Blend work in character creation?
Character creation includes a Face Blend tool that combines different facial presets, letting features such as hairstyle and makeup be taken from a specific preset.

Face Blend fuses faces rather than forcing you to pick one preset and live with it. You choose the presets you like, then decide which parts come from where. Hairstyle and makeup can each be pulled from a specific preset, so you can keep one face's hair and another's makeup without rebuilding either by hand.
Blending is the broad pass. Character creation also has detailing options for finer adjustments once the blend is close, and a separate set of eye options, including a glowing eye effect in a colour you choose.
Once you finish creating your Pathfinder, appearance and hair colour changes happen in the Design Studio, and each one uses up a Redesign Card. Experimenting with blends is free during creation and not free afterwards.
