Guides › Aniimo graphics settings: FPS, black and red screen fixes
Can you limit how many other players are shown?
The settings include an option to limit how many other Pathfinders (stranger marks) are displayed on screen.
You find it in the graphics menu, and you set the number of stranger marks by hand. Fewer Pathfinders on screen means less for your device to draw when a busy area fills up with other players.
It sits beside two similar sliders. One adjusts how many wild Aniimo are displayed and the other adjusts how many scene objects are displayed. If a crowded spot stutters, lower all three together rather than only the player count, because each one cuts what the scene has to render.
When those changes still leave you lagging, look at animation quality next, since animation rendering draws on CPU and memory. Free storage matters too: the space needed varies by device, and clearing 30 to 40GB is the advice for avoiding lag and related problems. The graphics settings guide linked from this page covers the full menu, including the frame rate cap.
