Guides › Alpha Aniimo: Finding, Fighting and Catching World Bosses
Do Alpha Aniimo have better stats?
Being an Alpha Aniimo does not grant higher base stats or guarantee high Potential, because Potential is rolled when the Aniimo is caught, so an Alpha's stats can come in higher or lower than the base standard for its species.
Catching an Alpha rolls potential across Common, Good, Elite, or Perfect grades.
That roll decides individual Aniimo alpha stats on the spot, which means a standard wild encounter can easily roll higher numbers than a giant counterpart. Alpha status remains a distinct physical marker rather than a numeric combat bonus.
A low potential grade does not make the creature useless. Check every catch for Alpha status, weather forms, and special variants before choosing to register or release it. Releasing common and good rarity Aniimo deprives your settlement of workers needed for Homeland tasks.
