Do Aniimo have branching evolutions?
Certain Aniimo species evolve along branching paths rather than a single linear line, offering two path options to different evolved forms, each with its own requirements determined by quest decisions and items collected.
You can inspect evolution paths and gene sequences in the Aniimo menu or Dex.
While standard evolutions happen primarily when reaching certain levels, branching forms unlock only when you meet special conditions. These selective options give you two separate routes toward different evolved forms based on the items you collect and the quest choices you make.
Taking a branch will not harm your creature's stats. Evolving an Aniimo preserves its perfect potential grading across evolutionary stages, and this protection holds for Umbral Aniimo as well. Whichever path you choose, the third and currently final evolutionary stage of an Aniimo is called the Nova form.
