When do Tumbler Oni Pods have a higher catch rate?
Tumbler Oni Pods offer a higher capture rate than standard pods in specific situations, reaching a 6x multiplier during gather events.
The base capture success multiplier sits at 3x before any event bonus applies. That baseline already outperforms standard pods, but the device is built around group volume rather than tough single targets. Following the January 29, 2026 update, the multiplier doubles to 6x in high-density areas.
The top 6x rate also activates during a gather in a nurture event. Because the pod hits an area of effect, it is tailored for wild surges and swarms. It can catch up to 10 clustered Aniimo in a single use during group events.
Utility versus raw power
The Tumbler trades raw catch power for crowd control. High-tier devices like Aniipod Ultras handle difficult captures and bosses, whereas the Tumbler is the tool of choice for groups of weak, low-level creatures. Throwing it at solitary, high-tier targets wastes its area utility.
