Do any Aniimo evolve through trading?

This is a hard gate, not a shortcut. For those species, no amount of levelling, no item and no questline will produce the later form. The trade is the trigger, which means you cannot finish that line as a solo player. You need a second person, and one you trust, because the creature changes hands to evolve. If you want to keep the evolved form yourself, agree on the trade back before you send anything.

Plan these with someone you already play with rather than a stranger, and do them when you are both online rather than leaving the swap half finished.

Where trading sits among the other evolution requirements

Most Aniimo evolve by reaching a level. Trading belongs to the smaller group that asks for something else instead, and that group is worth knowing before you build a team around one creature.

Some lines branch rather than run straight. Those give you two path options, decided by the choices you make in a quest and the items you have collected, so the fork is set by what you do rather than by how long you grind. Others are gated by time. Inferlupa is obtained by evolution, and its questline spans three real-world days because the mission stages sit behind daily server resets. There is no way to compress that into one session.

Items matter too. Evolution stones come from defeating Gamma or Nova stage Aniimo rather than from capturing them, so anything stone-driven means fighting the later stages repeatedly and taking the chance on a drop. Defeating a Gamma-stage Flameruff has a low chance to drop an Unbroken Flameruff Spirit in place of a stone.

Not settled: Which species carry the trade requirement is not pinned down. The closed beta confirmed the mechanic exists without settling the list of Aniimo it applies to.
