Guides › Inheritance: transferring level and resonance progress
How does evolution work in Aniimo?
Aniimo evolve into new forms upon meeting specific requirements, primarily by reaching certain levels, though some evolutions require special conditions or follow branching paths.
Certain forms require defeating an alpha version or visiting a specific location. Gathering designated resources is also required for select evolutions. When a stage simply demands raw experience, Growth Buds can be consumed to grant the necessary points and raise levels quickly.
You can check the full evolution path and gene sequences for any creature in the Aniimo menu or Dex. Evolving preserves an Aniimo's perfect potential grading across all evolutionary stages, and this protection also applies to Umbral Aniimo. The third and currently final evolutionary stage is called the Nova form.
Branching paths
Certain Aniimo species do not follow a single linear line. Instead, they offer two path options leading to completely different evolved forms.
Qualifying for one branch over the other comes down to your quest decisions and the specific items you have collected.
