Does an Anipod Ultra guarantee captures?

Alpha bosses and Umbral Aniimo cannot break out once the pod connects.

Defeating an Alpha such as Stellarys in combat normally leaves you facing base capture rates around 10% with common pods. Throwing an Annipod Ultra removes that failure chance on wild targets after combat, locking in the catch while setting the creature to at least Elite acquired potential.

Targets with no added benefit

Using an Ultra Pod or Ultra Cube on Alpha Aniimo, Umbral eggs, or eggs that already guarantee Elite rarity or Perfect potential provides no additional benefit. Eggs that guarantee perfect class or potential hatch properly even in a basic Anicube. Spending an Ultra Pod on those eggs changes nothing about the outcome.

Not settled: Whether the pod guarantees a catch is unsettled, with some descriptions giving it a 100% rate without fail and others reserving that guarantee for the Sparkling Cube. The potential floor is also unsettled, described variously as guaranteed minimum Elite acquired potential, guaranteed minimum Epic potential, or only a chance of Elite potential.
