Does the Aniipod Ultra guarantee a capture?

Defeating an Alpha such as Stellarys in combat allows a capture attempt. Standard capture devices hold base chances between eight and twelve percent on these encounters, whereas throwing an Aniipod Ultra at defeated Alphas, wild creatures, or Umbral Aniimo hits the one hundred percent mark. The targeting reticle displays your catch chance before you throw. Any throw below one hundred percent can fail after the pod shakes, but missed throws return directly to you automatically.

Bonus Potential And Egg Use

The Aniipod Ultra also influences creature quality upon capture. Wild catches made with it gain elevated stats, though the exact baseline floor is unsettled between a guaranteed minimum of Epic potential, a guaranteed minimum of Elite acquired potential, or only an increased chance at Elite potential.

Hatching an egg also requires picking an Anipod before incubation. Spending an Ultra Pod or Ultra Cube on Alpha Aniimo, Umbral eggs, or eggs that already possess guaranteed Elite rarity or Perfect potential yields no extra stat benefits. Eggs that already promise perfect class hatch with those attributes even when using a basic Anicube.

Differences From The Sparkling Cube

The Sparkling Cube acts as an upgraded variant of the Aniipod Ultra. Both share the guaranteed capture rate on wild targets, but the Sparkling Cube applies the cosmetic sparkling trait to whatever it catches. The standard Aniipod Ultra secures high-tier wild creatures and Alpha bosses without changing their visual style.
