Does Aniimo support crossplay?
Aniimo supports crossplay across platforms, letting players on platforms such as PlayStation 5 and Xbox play together.
Playing together across platforms requires choosing the same regional server. Crossplay pools PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices across three regions: Aniimo-America, Aniimo-Europe, and Aniimo-APAC. You choose your server before starting. Progress carries over through an Aniimo Pass registered to the same email address, with a linked PSN account on PlayStation, while data on separate servers stays independent.
Co-op parties hold a maximum of four players. Cross-platform groups can explore together, trade Aniimo, and take on world bosses, Alpha Aniimo encounters, and the Egg Heist PvPvE mode. The main story cannot be shared and must be progressed alone.
Finding and joining other players
Idyll is not a persistently shared open world. Other players do not populate the landscape unless invited into the host's session. You still encounter cross-platform players in shared social hubs, which include the floating sky city of Astra, settlements, campfires, and RV campsites.
Tapping a player's avatar or pressing the F key brings up their interaction panel directly. You can invite someone to Companion Mode without standing adjacent to them in-game, which draws a visible distance link between both of you so you do not lose track of each other.
