Server transfer rules and character redesign in Aniimo

No save moves between Aniimo's three servers, but switching never deletes one. Here is what carries over, what stays behind, and what a Redesign Card can change.

The short version

  1. Aniimo has three regional servers (Aniimo-America, Aniimo-Europe and Aniimo-APAC) and you choose one before you start.
  2. Progression, game data and characters cannot be transferred between servers, so starting on a new server means starting from the beginning.
  3. Switching servers never wipes your old save: it stays on the original server, intact, for when you go back.
  4. Cross-save works across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and mobile, but only for accounts linked on the same server.
  5. A Redesign Card lets you change your character's appearance after creation, though character sex could not be changed during the beta.

The server you pick in Aniimo is the decision that matters most, because nothing you build there can leave it. Each regional server keeps its own save, and there is no transfer between them.

That sounds harsh, but it has a softer edge. Moving to another server does not cost you your old character. It just means you are starting a second one.

Your appearance is more forgiving. A Redesign Card changes how your character looks after creation, with one exception worth knowing before you finish the creator.

The Aniimo servers and how you pick one

Aniimo runs three regional servers: Aniimo-America, Aniimo-Europe and Aniimo-APAC (Asia-Pacific). You select the region before you start playing.

Treat that choice as the one you will live with. Everything that follows in this guide comes back to the fact that your progress belongs to a server, not to you in general. If you plan to play with friends, settle which server you are all on first.

Three

Regional servers

America, Europe and APAC each keep their own save data, so the region you pick before starting is where your progress stays.

Why a server transfer is not possible

Progression, game data and characters are tied to each server. None of it can be transferred between regional servers. If you begin on a new server, you start from the beginning: fresh character, fresh progress.

The catch cuts both ways. Switching to a different server starts a new save, but your existing save on the previous server is preserved. Progress you made on your original server stays there, and it is waiting for you if you switch back later. So a server change is never destructive. It is simply a separate game.

In practice, that means you can try another region without fear of losing your main save. It also means nothing you earn on the second server will ever come home with you.

What does carry over: platforms, not servers

Aniimo has full cross-save across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and mobile. Your progress is shared when you log into the same Aniimo Pass account on the same server. Accounts link through the same email address, and on PlayStation you link a PSN account. Data on different servers stays independent, which is the same rule as above seen from another angle.

Crossplay also means players on platforms such as PlayStation 5 and Xbox can play together. The account guide and the multiplayer guide cover the linking and co-op side in full. For this page, the point is simple: changing device is easy, changing server is not.

Changing platform or changing server

Same server, new platform

  • Full cross-save across PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and mobile
  • Log into the same Aniimo Pass account
  • Accounts linked through the same email address
  • PSN account linked on PlayStation

Different server

  • Starts a new save from the beginning
  • Progress, game data and characters cannot be transferred
  • Your save on the original server is preserved
  • Returning to the original server picks it back up

Character redesign and what stays fixed

Character creation is detailed. You can fully customise appearance and skin tone with sliders when you start an adventure, including face width, face length and head size, and a face blending tool combines different facial presets.

You are not stuck with the result. A Redesign Card lets you change your character's appearance after initial creation. The exception is sex: during the beta, a character's sex could not be changed after creation. Decide that one deliberately.

Names need care too. Character names are unique across the server, so the name you want may already belong to someone else on it.

Outfits and Aniimo cosmetics

Character outfits come as launch rewards, covering both male and female outfit styles. Whether outfits are gender-locked is not settled. Cosmetic outfits are given as having male and female variants that work on any character regardless of gender, but premium outfits are also given as gender-locked, with distinct designs for male and female characters. If a specific premium outfit matters to you, that is another reason to think about your character's sex before you commit.

Your Aniimo can be dressed up as well, with accessories and cosmetic gear such as hats and weapons.

Where to start

Choose your server as if it were permanent, because your progress is. Switch devices freely on the same account, save the Redesign Card for appearance changes, and settle your character's sex and name at creation.
