Does breaking an Aniimo improve catch rate?

Inflicting a break on an Aniimo increases its capture success rate, raising it above 90 percent.

Any throw below 100 percent can still fail after the pod shakes. Aiming an Aniipod displays the exact capture chance on screen, allowing you to see the immediate jump in probability once the break occurs. While an alerted Aniimo suffers a reduced capture success rate, initiating combat and depleting its break gauge turns an unreliable encounter into a high-percentage opportunity.

Difficult wild Aniimo generally require combat weakening before catching them is realistic. Damaging, stunning, or inflicting break on a target works toward this threshold. Standard Aniipods can be farmed infinitely, and missed throws return directly to you automatically, but landing a break prevents wasted attempts against targets that would otherwise resist capture.
