GuidesAniimo Catching Guide: Aniipods and Alpha Hunting

What affects which wild Aniimo appear?

Which wild Aniimo appear in the world changes with the in-game day-night cycle, the weather, and other special natural phenomena, with weather in particular influencing the appearance of unique Aniimo.

Sept 2026

Regional environments do not maintain a static roster. Moving through an area during daylight reveals a completely different set of wild encounters than exploring that same zone after dark.

Tracking down unique Aniimo requires planning your route around these shifts. Certain creatures only populate the ecosystem during specific hours of the in-game clock, so checking an area at a single time of day leaves much of the local wildlife undiscovered.

Weather Events

Regional weather locks out or activates specific encounters across the map. Certain Aniimo species only spawn under designated conditions, including active weather events like rain and storms.

Unique Aniimo in particular depend on these weather changes. Searching for them during clear skies produces regular regional spawns instead of the specific creatures tied to storms.

Natural Phenomena and Group Appearances

Special natural phenomena trigger uncommon spawn activity outside the regular day and weather shifts. These include group appearances where entire clusters arrive together in the wild.

Catching every Aniimo in a group appearance, such as all 20 spawned creatures, is required to advance local cultivation and trigger the regional branch bloom.
