How do you get Inferlupa?
Inferlupa's acquisition is unsettled: it is given both as the reward of a side quest started at the top of Thousand Fang Ridge and ending in a battle on the third day, and as an evolution of Flameruff unlocked by the Warrior quest, a questline that spans three real-world days with its mission stages unlocking at daily server resets.
This one is not settled.
Both versions are shown because the disagreement is itself information — usually it means the mechanic changed between beta builds.
The Warrior quest gates your progress across three daily server resets. Each stage locks until the next server restart, meaning you cannot complete the sequence in one sitting. Progressing the quest requires you to return to base camp across those separate days and listen to four stories from Ico.
Outside the quest line, a Vein Abundance event for Inferlupa, also known as Infernal Looper, begins on October 12th.
Evolution Requirements
If you obtain Inferlupa through evolution, only the basic orange form of Flameruff qualifies. Regional variants such as Highland and Mountainwoods cannot evolve into Inferlupa. Emberpup also offers an avenue, featuring a branching evolution path where one branch evolves into Inferlupa.
When farming, defeating a Gamma-stage Flameruff instead of capturing it has a low chance to drop an Unbroken Flameruff Spirit rather than an evolution stone. Once acquired, Inferlupa functions as a dual Fire- and Dark-element Aniimo filling the Break combat role, using its Unbroken Flameruff Spirit skill to accelerate break bar depletion via ricochets and gaining extra clone pressure through its Full Energy mechanic.
Not settled: Whether completing The Warrior gives Inferlupa directly as a mission reward or solely unlocks the evolution option on Flameruff is not settled.
