Is Egg Heist PvP?

Yes. Other players can defeat your Aniimo during a match, and you can defeat theirs. Dying or failing to extract costs you everything in your backpack and any Heist gear you brought in that a protection item does not cover, which is why a reliable pick matters more here than in ordinary catching.
