Guides › Prismana and Sparkling Aniimo: Spawns and Nurturing
What affects which wild Aniimo appear?
Which wild Aniimo appear in the world changes with the in-game day-night cycle, the weather, and other special natural phenomena, with weather in particular influencing the appearance of unique Aniimo.
Searching an area once leaves weather-exclusive species and night spawns undiscovered.
The local ecosystem rotates its creature roster across the day-night cycle, while regional shifts like rain and thunderstorms bring out specific species that never show up in dry sunlight.
Weather also dictates distinct environmental forms. Coraliz has an exclusive storm variant that only appears during rainstorms, while Scorchhowl features a wild form tied to thunderstorms. Luminel appears at Tidal Blossom Coast inside a cave during thunderstorms, and Luminelle has a Rainstorm form. Across species, there are 19 distinct forms separate from Prismana variants, including cloud mist and plateau forms shaped by the surrounding habitat.
Weather variants and skill inheritance
Weather-dependent variants can carry altered elements, elemental enhancements, and skill upgrades. Unlocking moves from a weather form allows you to equip those abilities onto standard forms within the same Aniimo family.
Regional and environmental forms are not inherently stronger or rarer than base forms. However, you can only transform an Aniimo into an alternate or weather form if you have already caught that specific variant in the wild.
Zone completion and quest progression
Reaching 100 percent completion in an area requires capturing that zone's special weather forms alongside its Prismana variants.
Geography and quest completion also alter which forms appear in the wild, so progressing through story milestones can shift the creatures found in previously explored habitats.
