At Breezy Plains branches, nurturing bloom plants builds up the meter until an encounter triggers. The required material appears in menus under slight spelling variations, including Vein Essence, Vane Essence, and Vine Essence, but all refer to the same consumable item.

Once your free charges are gone, every additional activation consumes this essence directly from your inventory. Running out halts further attempts until your charges refresh or until you restock.

Gathering Vein Essence

You can obtain Vein Essence through open-world gathering, Elite Training, Hollow Battle Interlinks, the battle pass, the stamp shop, and Nurture Branches themselves. Contributing Lumin also provides it.

Catch milestones offer another steady supply. Capturing 40% of the species in any region awards a Bronze Capture Medal alongside an allotment of Vein Essence.

Not settled: The free nurture allowance is build-dependent and not settled yet. The game presents it variously as three daily attempts, one daily attempt upon unlocking the feature, three nurture stones every three days, or three regenerating attempts, with alternate listings naming Prismatic Energy Shards instead of Vein Essence.
