What does Stellarys's Shooting Stars skill do?
Shooting Stars, Stellarys's base core Magic skill, fires homing stars, with the number unsettled because it is given as both three and five, and each star that damages a target grants the user a 1% Damage Boost, stacking up to 15 times for a maximum of 15%.
Enhancing this core skill raises the maximum damage stack buff to 20%.
Upgrading the ability into Starfall also increases the projectile volley to fire five homing stars. Because Stellarys builds the damage boost through repeated attacks, every landed projectile contributes to reaching the cap quickly. The ability grants an additional 1% damage increase every time the skill is used.
Maintaining this buff fits Stellarys's ranged playstyle. Mobility is built directly into its attacks, allowing you to reposition while continuously casting to keep the damage bonus active throughout combat.
Grand Sorcerer and Shadow Magic Synergy
Shooting Stars activates Stellarys's Grand Sorcerer trait, which grants basic attacks additional damage for 5 seconds after using any skill. Cycling the skill regularly ensures that basic attacks benefit from this bonus alongside the stacked damage buff.
Shadow Magic adds further offensive pressure. The skill creates a shadow clone that lasts 20 seconds and mimics Stellarys's basic attacks and skills at 20% of its normal damage. Using Shadow Magic again swaps positions with the clone, giving you an immediate escape tool without interrupting your ranged attack cadence.
