Guides › Grass Team Guide: Irisalis, Melobloom and Leafy
What is Irisalis's core skill?
The name of Irisalis's core skill is unsettled: it is given both as Iris Shadow, which summons a clone that lasts on the field for 30 seconds, and as Whirling Blossom, which spawns up to two shadow clones at a time when it hits, with the second clone tied to her signature weapon.
Casting your Q ability spawns a clone, while Florae Descent adds another to the field.
These summoned Iris Shadows linger to boost Irisalis's overall damage output during combat. Because Irisalis can perform basic and ranged attacks while moving, keeping clones active allows you to maintain pressure while repositioning across the encounter.
Not settled: What triggers all active Iris Clones to fire a Floral Gleam Beam at the target is not settled yet, pointing variously to Irisalis's dash ability, casting Whirling Blossom Rain, or landing the final hit of a basic attack combo.
