GuidesThe Aniilog and Photo Mode

Is there a photo mode in Aniimo?

Aniimo includes an integrated photo mode that supports full-team shots, individual creature posing, filters, and other settings.

Sept 2026

It is built into the game rather than being a separate capture tool, so you are composing the shot inside the world you are playing in. The part that matters most in practice is the posing. You can put your whole team in a single frame, and you can set each creature's pose individually instead of waiting for a default animation to land where you want it. Filters sit on top of that, with further settings to adjust the shot.

Photos are not purely decorative. Finding a rare variant lets you replace the default Aniilog background with a photo of that variant, which is the one place a picture you take feeds back into the rest of the game. Your Aniilog is where species and form data gets registered as you catch things, so a variant you worked for ends up as the backdrop to the collection it belongs to.

That gives photo mode a reason to exist beyond sharing pictures. If you run into something rare, take the shot while you have it in front of you.

Not settled: Exactly what the additional settings cover, beyond filters and per-creature posing, is not laid out yet.
