What is Emberpup's traversal ability?
Emberpup has an active traversal ability called Hustle, which enables sprinting for faster movement across the map while consuming stamina.
Twining outside combat activates the sprint to cross open biomes without delay.
Emberpup's primary value during exploration is rapid overworld travel, giving you the ground speed needed to move between locations on foot.
Beyond pure running speed, twining into Emberpup lets you interact directly with blocked paths. It can use its fire ability to burn down vines that obstruct the environment, clearing routes to otherwise inaccessible areas.
Wild Aniimo interactions
Twining into an Emberpup also alters how you communicate with creatures in the field. You must twine with an Aniimo of the corresponding family to understand and converse with certain wild Aniimo.
While twined, you can attract a small number of wild Emberpup to follow you. Certain wild Aniimo throughout the open world also offer specific quests that can only be started by twining into that exact species.
