Guides › Aniimo skill numbers: EP, cooldowns, crit and debuffs
What is the base crit rate of Aniimo?
The base crit rate of Aniimo is unsettled: it is given as both 10% and 15%.
This one is not settled.
Both versions are shown because the disagreement is itself information — usually it means the mechanic changed between beta builds.
Neither number is safe to build a team around, because the game's own baseline is not pinned down. One figure puts every Aniimo at 10% crit chance before any bonuses. The other puts them at 15%.
Irisalis is the clearest clue. It is singled out as having a high base crit rate of 15%, which only makes sense if the normal starting point sits lower. If 15% were the default for every Aniimo, Irisalis would have nothing to stand out for. So 10% as the general baseline, with Irisalis as a 15% exception, is the reading that fits best. Treat it as a working assumption, not a rule.
In practice, crit is a small lever next to Break. Depleting an enemy's break bar stuns it and opens a window where it takes greatly increased damage, 250% more for bosses, and that is the largest single damage multiplier in the game. Whichever crit figure is right, timing your big skills into a Break window does more for your damage than five points of crit chance.
Not settled: The base crit rate is stated as both 10% and 15%, and the game does not settle which applies to Aniimo in general. Irisalis being called out for a high 15% base suggests 10% is the usual figure, but that is not confirmed.
