The identity of the first legendary Aniimo is unsettled: it is given as both Resalis, the first legendary players obtain, and Irisalis, the first legendary introduced to the game.

Befriending Irisalis unlocks an exclusive transmog ability. The creature appeared under the name Izzysolus in early test builds and enters the game through dedicated narrative milestones rather than standard wild spawns.
In the release version of Aniimo, securing this legendary creature is guaranteed through gameplay rather than random gacha pulls. The closed beta featured a limited Irisalis event that cost Glimmer and relied on a pity threshold estimated between 4,500 and 6,000 Glimmer. The studio replaced that mechanic for launch with deterministic milestones: you craft a dedicated Legendary Aniipod, defeat Irisalis in a one-time scripted encounter, and throw the pod to seal the bond.
Walking with Irisalis
Walking with Irisalis is a legendary journey questline that unlocks after completing the Butterfly Shadow event. Progressing into the rift space of Irisalis and forging Twine there opens the blessing gifts section of the game.

Narrative descriptions state that completing the exclusive story sequence is what awards the legendary Aniipod, while crafting descriptions state that forging the pod is what activates the story encounter on the map.
