Irisalis: How to Get the Legendary Aniimo
Irisalis is the legendary Aniimo you craft your way to, not one you hunt. Here is the full path: the Legendary Aniipod, the boss fight you only get once, and the clone kit waiting on the other side.
The short version
- Crafting a Legendary Aniipod unlocks an exclusive story and a one-time narrative boss encounter against Irisalis on the map.
- Beat Irisalis, throw the Legendary Aniipod you crafted, and the bond always forms. The capture is guaranteed, not a roll.
- Legendary tokens are obtained naturally through open-world exploration, catching, and main story progression.
- Irisalis can revive itself after being defeated in combat, blooming again to restore its own vitality, once every 180 seconds.
- Iris Clones fire a Floral Gleam Beam whenever Irisalis lands the final hit of a basic attack combo or casts Whirling Blossom Rain, and Florae Descent leaves another clone behind.
- In the third beta the legendary was handed out by gacha instead, entered with Glimmer and backed by a pity guarantee.
Most legendary chases in this genre end with a percentage and a prayer. This one does not. Irisalis is bonded by throwing a crafted Legendary Aniipod at it after you have beaten it in its story encounter, and that throw always succeeds.
The difficulty sits earlier, in the crafting and in the fight. Crafting a Legendary Aniipod unlocks a one-time narrative boss encounter against Irisalis, and one time means one time.
What follows is the order of operations, what the fight does, and what the Aniimo actually does once it is yours.
How to get the legendary Aniimo Irisalis
The sequence is short and strict. You craft a Legendary Aniipod. Crafting a legendary Aniipod triggers an exclusive story and an encounter on the map. You fight Irisalis there, you defeat it, and then you throw the Aniipod you made beforehand. Defeating a legendary Aniimo is what allows you to form the bond at all, so the throw comes second, never first.
Capturing Irisalis is guaranteed rather than random. There is no catch rate to read, no better pod to save up for, no angle to approach from. Everything this site says about improving your odds on wild Aniimo lives in the catching guide and none of it changes anything here.
The materials side is gentler than it sounds. Legendary tokens are obtained naturally through open-world exploration, catching, and main story progression, which are three things you are doing anyway. If you are playing broadly rather than rushing one activity, you are already collecting them.
The boss fight only happens once
The narrative boss encounter against Irisalis can only be completed once. Go in with the team you actually want to use, because there is no second attempt at the story version of this fight to clean up a sloppy first one.
Irisalis can revive itself after being defeated in combat. It turns back into a flower and blooms again, restoring its own vitality, and that can trigger once every 180 seconds. Knocking it down, then, is not automatically the end of anything. Plan your burst around the idea that the health bar you just emptied may come back, and that the revive has a cooldown you can outlast.
Iris Clones and the skills that feed them
Irisalis generates clones that add to its overall damage output, and the clones are not passive decoration. Irisalis's Iris Clones fire a Floral Gleam Beam at the target whenever Irisalis lands the final hit of a basic attack combo or casts Whirling Blossom Rain. Two triggers, both things you control. Finishing your combo strings instead of cancelling them is a damage decision, not a stylistic one.
Florae Descent, Irisalis's ultimate skill, leaves behind an additional clone on the field. So the ultimate is not just a damage spike. It raises the size of every Floral Gleam Beam volley that follows.
Bloom Cluster ties the clones back into your resource bar. It grants Irisalis 1 Dance Power whenever one of its clones lands a hit, and at 9 Dance Power its next skill costs 50% less EP. More clones landing more beams means Dance Power arriving faster, which means cheaper skills, which means more casts to trigger more beams.
Dancing Petals and Dance Power
Irisal is a Grass-element Aniimo filling the DPS role, and Dancing Petals is its ultimate ability. The kit is built around Dance Power as a counter you fill through aggression rather than through waiting.
Irisal's trait grants 1 point of Dance Power each time one of its skills deals damage, and at 24 points the next skill costs no EP. That is a longer climb than the Bloom Cluster threshold and a bigger payoff at the top: not a discount but a free cast. The two thresholds sit at different heights for a reason. One is the steady reward for connecting with your own skills, the other is the faster, smaller kickback from a field full of clones doing work while you attack.

How the third beta handed out its legendary
This was not always a crafting question. The Irisalis event in the third beta awarded a legendary Aniimo through a gacha system with limited resources and pity guarantees, which is a very different kind of chase.
Entering the beta legendary Iresallis event, listed there as Aris Halis, required Glimmer, and the legendary pity sat somewhere between 4,500 and 6,000 Glimmer. That range was never narrowed to a single figure. Worth knowing if you played the beta and are expecting the same shape of grind, because the path described above asks for something else entirely.
Third beta Irisalis event
- Awarded the legendary through a gacha system.
- Entering required Glimmer.
- Limited resources with pity guarantees.
- Legendary pity estimated at 4,500 to 6,000 Glimmer.
Legendary Aniipod capture
- Legendary tokens come from exploration, catching and main story progression.
- Crafting the pod triggers an exclusive story encounter on the map.
- The narrative boss fight can only be completed once.
- Throw the crafted pod after the win and the catch always succeeds.
Where to start
Craft the Legendary Aniipod first, save the story encounter for a team you trust, and expect Irisalis to stand back up once before it stays down. After that, play around the clones: finish your combos, cast Whirling Blossom Rain, and let Florae Descent grow the field.
