Guides › How Capability Awakening works in Aniimo

What is the max points for a stat?

A stat reaches its maximum crown level at 20 points of combined innate potential and capability awakening, with the star-up bonus raising the effective maximum to 21.

The stat screen shows 20 as the ceiling, but star-up adds a point the display leaves out.

Each of an Aniimo's six attributes adds two parts together. Innate potential is rolled when you catch it and you cannot change it. Acquired potential is the part you raise yourself, through Capability Awakening in the training menu, by spending Stardust, Star Sand and other enhancement materials on individual stats. When innate and acquired together reach 20 in a stat, a crown icon appears next to it. That crown is how you know the stat is at its maximum bonus and further points there are wasted.

A high innate roll gets a stat to the crown cheaply. A low one needs more awakening to close the gap. That is why "perfect stats" in Aniimo mostly comes down to the innate potential the creature was caught with.

Why you cannot crown every stat

Capability Awakening points are capped at 35 in total across the whole Aniimo, so you cannot push all six attributes to 20. You pick which stats get crowned and leave the rest short. Pour points into the ones your Aniimo actually fights with, and stop adding to a stat the moment its crown shows.

If you get the split wrong, Capability Awakening can be reset freely while the Aniimo is below level 60, and the materials you invested come back. From level 60 it can no longer be reset, so settle the allocation before you level past that point.

Not settled: How the reset refund behaves around level 60 is not settled: the reset is free below 60 and unavailable from 60, but whether the refund itself is restricted below 60 is still open.
