What traversal abilities does Celestice have?

Traversal abilities come out when you twine with an Aniimo, and each one carries a different physical option: sprinting, climbing walls, swimming, diving, gliding, flying, burrowing. Celestice covers two of those, and they pair well. Climbing gets you up a vertical face, and the airborne ability handles what happens once you are at the top. Vertical terrain that would otherwise be a detour becomes a straight line.

Both are rated at level one. That is the tier the abilities sit at, not a measure of how useful they are in the field, and it applies to the climb and the air movement alike.

The part that matters for team building: exploration and traversal mobility are managed separately from combat. They do not eat active party slots or ability slots. So keeping Celestice around for map navigation costs you nothing on the fighting side of your roster, and you never have to choose between a creature you want in combat and a creature that gets you across the world.

Flying or gliding

The second ability is not settled. In some builds Celestice's air movement is listed as flight, and in others it is a Glide, named as a distinct Glide ability alongside Climb. This is build-dependent and the naming shifted during the closed beta.

It is a real difference in play, not just a label. Gliding is controlled descent, so you need height before you can use it, and the climb is what buys you that height. Flight is not bound by that. If you are planning routes around Celestice, check which one your build actually gives you before you commit to a line that assumes you can gain altitude.

Not settled: Whether the airborne half of Celestice's kit is true flight or a glide changed between builds, so the route planning around it is not yet fixed.
