Guides › Traversal Aniimo list: who flies, swims, climbs and digs
Can Skippy swim?
Skippy provides level one swimming traversal, making it useful for swimming in the early game.
Level one is the bottom tier of swimming, so Skippy is a starter tool for water rather than an answer to every lake. Traversal abilities in Aniimo come in levels: Infergon, for comparison, flies at Fly III. Skippy's swim sits at the first rung, which is why its value is concentrated in the early game.
In practice that means you pick Skippy up to get across water while your roster is still small, and you lean on it until something stronger takes over the job.
Skippy covers swimming and nothing else on the traversal side. If the route ahead needs more than water, you need a different Aniimo for it. Celestis flies and climbs. Budclaw and Hummin dig into the ground. Fire-type Aniimo burn wooden barriers, trees and vines blocking paths, and many world puzzles require one. Sprinting comes from Hustle, which Emberpup and Helion have, at the cost of stamina.
