Guides › How to catch wild Aniimo
Where do you get capture pods?
Capture items can be obtained from quest rewards, from the free shop and by crafting them at the Homeland base.
You can also buy them for gold from Joff, so running low on pods isn't something you're stuck with. Quests drop them as part of normal progress. The free shop is worth checking often, and crafting at the Homeland base gives you a steady supply you control yourself.
The standard catching capsule is the Anipod, also spelled Aniipod. Pods come in several tiers, and higher tiers have a higher base capture rate, so keep the stronger ones for difficult catches. Some specialised models, such as the Aniipod Track and Tumbler, have less raw catching power and add a utility effect instead.
You need fewer good pods than you might think. Breaking a wild Aniimo opens a window where even a basic Aniipod is a guaranteed catch, and the capture UI shows your exact odds before you throw. That means your cheapest pods do most of the work, and you can save the expensive tiers for catches where you can't get those odds.
