Guides › Holo Battle Interlink bosses: team comps, AI and co-op
Why do AI teammates die in the Minespine fight?
AI teammates perform poorly in the Minespine (Alpha Mines) Holo Interlink fight, usually dying by the 1:30 mark, and also struggle against Alpha Scorch compared with Alpha Luminel.
Plan on finishing Minespine without your AI teammates once the clock passes 1:30. Minespine (Alpha Mines) is the third Holo Interlink fight, and it is where AI help falls apart most visibly. Alpha Scorch gives them trouble too. Alpha Luminel is the fight where AI teammates hold up best, so a smooth Luminel run tells you little about how Minespine will go.
Early deaths are not the only cost of relying on AI. When AI fills the open slots, you get lower damage and fewer rewards. It is also not settled whether Holo-Battle Interlink can be played solo at all. In some sessions it runs with AI in the empty slots, and in others it needs other players.
Bringing real players to Alpha Minespine instead
Holo-Battle Interlink is a four-player mode, and it supports matchmaking with random players. Phase 2 can be completed with a randomly matched party, so you do not need a fixed group to get through it. Friends can also team up to break the boss together. The linked guide covers adding friends and forming a party.
If your best damage dealer is not strong or leveled yet (for example, under 3000 CP), you can still pull your weight in a human party. Bring a support or breaker Aniimo and let someone else carry the damage.
Not settled: The game does not say why AI teammates collapse in the Minespine fight in particular. What is known is the pattern: they usually die by 1:30 against Minespine, they also struggle against Alpha Scorch, and they do best against Alpha Luminel.
