Aniimo download size and storage space on mobile
The store lists 18 GB on Android and iOS, but an 8 GB resource package follows on first launch. Clear 30 to 40 GB and you avoid the stall.
The short version
- Aniimo needs at least 18 GB of available storage on both Android and iOS.
- The first time you open the game it downloads a resource package of about 8 GB on mobile, on top of the app itself.
- Storage needs vary by device, and freeing 30 to 40 GB is the advised margin to avoid lag and other problems.
- The mobile version has known lag and overheating issues, so a tight storage margin is one problem you can rule out in advance.
- Pre-downloads opened on the App Store and Google Play at 9:30 PM IST on September 21, before the mobile servers went live.
Aniimo on mobile asks for more space than the store page suggests. The listed minimum is the same on Android and iOS, but the app you install is not the whole game. A second, large download arrives the first time you open it.
This page covers what the game actually needs on your phone, where the extra download comes in, and how much room to clear so the install does not stall halfway.
The minimum on Android and iOS
Aniimo requires at least 18 GB of available storage space on Android devices. The iOS figure is the same: at least 18 GB of available space.
Treat that as a floor, not a target. The exact amount the game needs varies by device, so two phones installing the same build will not end up using identical space. For the full hardware picture beyond storage, the PC and mobile system requirements page covers it.

The resource download on first launch
Installing the app from the store is only the first step. After it is installed, Aniimo downloads a large additional resource package from inside the game the first time you launch it. On mobile that package is about 8 GB.
This is the part that catches people out. The store checks your space for the app, not for what the game pulls down afterwards, so a phone that only just clears the minimum can install fine and then run short during the in-game download. Do that download on Wi-Fi, and make sure the space is already free before you tap the icon.
How much to actually clear
The advised margin is 30 to 40 GB of free storage. That headroom is there to avoid lag and other problems, not just to get the install finished.
It matters more than usual here because the mobile version has known lag issues and known overheating issues. Storage will not fix either of those on its own, but a nearly full phone is one more thing working against you, and it is the easiest one to rule out. If you are already seeing stutter or heat, the graphics settings guide covers frame rate and the screen fixes; this page only deals with space.

Pre-downloading at launch
Aniimo Mobile could be pre-downloaded before it launched. Pre-downloads opened on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store at 9:30 PM Indian Standard Time on September 21, before the servers opened.
That window has passed, but the order of events still applies if you are installing now. The store download comes first, and the roughly 8 GB resource package still waits for you inside the game on first launch.
Where to start
Before you install on Android or iOS, free 30 to 40 GB rather than the bare 18 GB. That covers the in-game resource package of about 8 GB and leaves room so the phone is not running full. Then open the game once on Wi-Fi and let the first-launch download finish.
