Platforms, Release Date and Access
Aniimo runs on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Cloud Gaming, iOS and Android. PC and console launched September 16; mobile waited until September 23.

Aniimo is an open-world monster-catching game with a large open map to explore, billed as an MMO. There's a story mode with a main questline and plenty of side quests. It is out now, but it didn't arrive everywhere on the same day.
PC and console players got in on September 16, 2026. Phone and tablet players waited a week, until September 23. This page covers where you can play, when each version launched and how to get the client onto your device.
Which platforms Aniimo is on
On PC, Aniimo is on Steam, the Epic Games Store and the Microsoft Store (Xbox on PC). On console, it is on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. You can also stream it through Xbox Cloud Gaming. On mobile, it is on iOS and Android.
On PlayStation, the game supports the PlayStation 5 and the PlayStation 5 Pro. It is not a PlayStation exclusive, which is why the same game is on Xbox and PC as well.

Launch dates: September 16 for PC and console, September 23 for mobile
Aniimo launched globally on September 16, 2026, on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S at the same time. In some time zones that date falls on September 15. The PlayStation 5 date is listed as September 15 in some places and September 16 in others, and the exact launch hour is not settled: it is given as 10:00 a.m. UTC+8, 10:00 a.m. UTC and 10:00 p.m. UTC.
Mobile came a week later. The global Android and iOS release, iPhone and iPad included, arrived on September 23, 2026, the date on the Google Play Store listing. That release followed the version 1.1 server maintenance, and the version 1.1 update launched alongside it. The practical result: if you only played on a phone, you could not play on launch day.

Getting the game on PC
You have a few routes on PC. The storefronts are Steam, the Epic Games Store and the Microsoft Store. If you'd rather skip a storefront, there's an official standalone launcher you can download from the game's website.
Aniimo also offers a dedicated standalone PC client. It is optional, so you only need it if you prefer it to the storefront versions.
Getting the game on iOS and Android
On Android, the official download is through the Google Play Store. On iOS, it is on the Apple App Store.
Pre-downloads opened on the App Store and Google Play at 9:30 PM Indian Standard Time on September 21, ahead of launch. Downloading early did not let you play early, though. Until September 23 the servers were not live: the server list was blank and the mobile client told you to wait and try again. If you hit that screen now, you are not on the mobile launch schedule any more, so look elsewhere for the cause.
Pre-orders and what they actually gave you
Pre-orders were available on consoles, with pre-order packs on PlayStation 5 and Xbox. The game could also be wishlisted on PC and console storefronts.
The catch with the packs is what they contained. Pre-order packages granted supplementary rewards. They were not how you got the base game, so buying one was about the extras, not about access.
Languages and controller basics
Aniimo supports English, Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Indonesian. Voiceovers come in English and in Chinese.
On a controller, holding Y or Triangle opens a shortcut wheel. Push the left stick up from that wheel to open the Season 1 menu. The same wheel on console is also where you select the home index.
One note if you followed the closed beta: anything seen in beta sessions and builds was subject to change, and the launched game can differ from those systems.
Where to start
Pick your platform and get the client from the matching store or the official PC launcher. On mobile, use Google Play or the App Store. If you are comparing notes with someone, remember mobile started a week after PC and console, on September 23, alongside version 1.1.
