Aniimo Editions and Preorder Bonuses

Aniimo is a free-to-play open-world game about catching and collecting creatures. No supported platform asks for an upfront purchase or a pre-order pack. It does have optional in-game purchases, and the pre-order packs belong in that category: extras, not a ticket in.

So you don't need to buy a deluxe edition just to be safe. Any pack you skip costs you some cosmetics and a head start on items. It does not lock you out of anything you need to play.

Pre-orders are a console thing. You can pre-order Aniimo on consoles, and the packs are sold on PlayStation 5 and Xbox. Release dates and the full platform list have their own page on this site. For this page, what matters is that console is where you'll find the packs.

There are two price tiers, $10 and $20. The $20 pack is the advanced pre-order pack.

The advanced pack contains every item in the $10 tier, so buying it means you don't also need the cheaper one. On top of that you get extra items as soon as you buy it, with no unlock to wait for.

It also has exclusives that aren't in the $10 tier: an avatar frame, a doll and an accessory. These are the main reason to choose between the two. If you only want the shared items, the $10 tier covers them. If you want the frame, the doll and the accessory, you need the $20 pack.

Pre-registration paid out launch rewards that cost nothing. They included capture cubes for catching Aniimo, accessories, and a limited outfit unlocked as a pre-registration milestone reward.

The biggest milestone was 30 million pre-registrations, which unlocks the Sunlit Myriad limited outfit set. It's an exclusive cosmetic, and since it came from a community milestone rather than a purchase, no pack sells it.

The Prismana Pact is the bonus with an actual creature attached. It gives you one free Prismana Aniimo of your choice, and it's tied to the pre-registration Wayfarer certification reward. You pick the creature, so think about which one you want before you claim it.

If a bonus comes as a promo code, redeeming the code doesn't put the items straight into your inventory. They go to your in-game mailbox, and you have to claim them there by hand.

This catches people out. You redeem a code, see nothing new in your bag and decide it failed. Check the mailbox before you assume a code didn't work.

06Where to start

Start the game for free. Buy a console pre-order pack only if you want what's in it, and choose the $20 tier only for the avatar frame, doll and accessory. Whatever you buy or redeem, go to your in-game mailbox and claim the items by hand.
