Egg hatch results: Alphas, Nova stage and Sparkling odds

An Alpha egg names a territory, not a creature, and a standard Anipod can still roll it Good. What each egg hatches into, plus the 1% shadow sparkling chance.

The short version

  1. An Alpha egg names a territory, not a specific Aniimo, and can hatch into any species native to that territory.
  2. Hatching in a standard Anipod randomises the result's characteristics, so even an Alpha egg can come out with only Good potential.
  3. A Prismatic (Mysterious Prismana) egg always hatches a Prismana Aniimo, chosen at random; a sparkling item on it makes that Prismana perfect.
  4. A sparkling item on an Alpha egg gives you an Aniimo that is alpha, sparkling, perfect and Prismana all at once.
  5. Hatching an Egg Heist egg with a sparkling cube gives a 99% chance of the standard common sparkling style, and a sparkling Egg Heist egg has a 1% chance of the shadow sparkling style.

Cracking an egg in Aniimo is a roll, and the egg only decides part of it. The egg type sets the pool. The Anipod you hatch it in, and any sparkling item you use, decide much of what comes out of that pool.

This guide covers the results end of hatching: what an Alpha egg actually gives you, what a Prismana egg guarantees, the sparkling style odds on Egg Heist eggs, the Shell Shards those eggs drop, and the smaller surprises like duplicates and creatures that hatch already grown. If you want the egg types themselves and their guaranteed potential, that has its own guide on this site.

What an Aniimo Alpha egg hatches into

An Alpha egg does not name a creature. It names a territory, and it can hatch into any species native to that territory. You know the neighbourhood, not the resident.

The second catch is the Anipod. Hatching in a standard Anipod gives randomised characteristics, so even an Alpha egg can come out with only Good potential. The egg's name is not a promise about quality. If what you want from an Alpha egg is a strong Aniimo rather than just a particular species, the hatching method matters as much as the egg.

Alphas are not limited to Alpha eggs, either. An Alpha Aniimo can randomly hatch from eggs in general, so an ordinary hatch occasionally hands you one.

Prismana eggs and what a sparkling item adds

Prismatic eggs, listed as Mysterious Prismana, always hatch a Prismana Aniimo. Which one is chosen at random, so the guarantee is the Prismana part, not the species.

A sparkling item changes the result on both of the special egg types. Use one on a Prismana egg and you get a perfect Prismana Aniimo. Use one on an Alpha egg and the result is alpha, sparkling, perfect and Prismana together. That is the most stacked outcome any egg offers, and it is the reason to hold a sparkling item for an Alpha egg rather than spending it on whatever you happen to be hatching.

Hatching an egg with and without a sparkling item

Standard Anipod

  • Characteristics are randomized
  • Even an Alpha egg can come out with only Good potential

Sparkling item

  • A Prismana egg hatches a perfect Prismana Aniimo
  • An Alpha egg hatches alpha, sparkling, perfect and Prismana

Egg Heist eggs: sparkling style odds and Shell Shards

Egg Heist eggs have their own sparkling odds. Hatch one with a sparkling cube and you get a 99% chance of the standard common sparkling style. A sparkling egg from Egg Heist has a 1% chance to hatch in the shadow sparkling style. The common style is what you should expect; the shadow style is a long shot.

Every Egg Heist egg also pays out on the side. Hatching them, Umbral eggs included, yields Prismana Shell Shards, so even a hatch that disappoints leaves you with something.

Sparkling Aniimo are not locked to Egg Heist. They turn up in the wild and from hatching eggs, and that includes eggs you find lying in the wild.

1%

Shadow sparkling style chance

A sparkling Egg Heist egg almost always gives the common sparkling style, so do not count on the shadow style.

Duplicates and evolution stage

Hatching can give you a duplicate of an Aniimo you already own. Nothing stops it, so do not count on every egg filling a gap in your collection.

What hatches is not always a baby, either. Aniimo can come out at different evolutionary stages, baby or adult, and some hatch directly at the Nova stage. A Nova hatch skips the work of evolving it yourself; how Lumin, Gamma and Nova fit together is covered in the evolution guide.

The beta egg you may still be holding

During the Global Closed Beta, the Bond Pact: Seal Your Aniimo event let testers seal one Aniimo inside an egg. Sealing removed it from Aniimo Management, and the egg could then be hatched to reclaim that Aniimo on the same account after the official launch. If you took part, that sealed egg is how your beta Aniimo comes back.

Where to start

Treat an Alpha egg as a territory roll and save your sparkling item for it, since that is the only way to get alpha, sparkling, perfect and Prismana in one hatch. Hatch Egg Heist eggs for the Shell Shards and expect the common sparkling style. The shadow style is the 1% bonus.
