How to earn Bud Tickets and raise the Home Index

Which Aniimo to put in your living area, why a full 1,000 ticket jar wastes income, and the buy and sell loop that raises your Home Index cheaply.

3 min read5 sectionschecked updated

The short version

  1. Aniimo placed in the Homeland's upper living area generate Bud Tickets passively, so the jar fills while you are away.
  2. Prismana and Sparkling Aniimo generate Bud Tickets faster and in larger amounts than regular Aniimo, which makes the home building zone the best place for any Prismana not on your team.
  3. The Bud Ticket jar stores 1,000 tickets at most, so collect it before it fills.
  4. The most efficient way to raise the Home Index is to buy the cheapest decorations with Bud Tickets and sell them back; cube decorations cost 2 Bud Tickets each.
  5. Bud Tickets, Stars and Home Coins are separate Homeland currencies. Home Coins come mainly from contracts and cover the big costs like facilities, plots and the RV.

Bud Tickets are the Homeland currency you get for doing almost nothing. You put Aniimo in the right place, they produce tickets, and you spend them on buildings, decorations, materials and cosmetics.

The interesting part is what you do with them. Bud Tickets are also the cheapest way to raise your Home Index, through a simple buy and sell loop. This page covers where the tickets come from, the one limit that wastes them, and how they fit next to Stars and Home Coins.

Which Aniimo make Bud Tickets

Any Aniimo you place in the Homeland's upper living area generates Bud Tickets passively. You do not need to do anything with them once they are there. The tickets simply build up.

Not every Aniimo produces at the same rate. Prismana and Sparkling Aniimo placed in the home building zone generate Bud Tickets faster and in larger amounts than regular ones. That gives them a clear job. A Prismana you are not using on your team is doing nothing in storage, but at home it is your best ticket earner. If you have spares, this is where they belong.

Empty the jar before it fills

Generated tickets collect in a jar, and the jar has a storage cap of 1,000 tickets. Once it reaches that, it holds no more, so a full jar is income you are not banking.

This matters more the better your setup is. A living area stocked with Prismana and Sparkling Aniimo fills the jar sooner than one full of regular Aniimo, which means a strong ticket setup is also the one that punishes you most for forgetting to collect. Make emptying it part of every visit home.

Once the jar holds 1,000 tickets it is full, so collect before then.

Raising the Home Index with cheap decorations

Bud Tickets are spent on buildings, decorations, materials and cosmetics. Most of that is straightforward shopping. The useful trick is the Home Index.

The most efficient way to raise the Home Index is to buy the cheapest decorations with Bud Tickets and then sell them back. You are not building a nicer house here. You are cycling cheap pieces through your inventory because the purchase itself is what counts.

For a sense of how cheap the bottom of the catalogue is, cube decorations cost 2 Bud Tickets each. At that price your passive ticket income goes a long way, and it is the reason a steady jar is worth keeping topped up and emptied.

Cheap decorations like cubes are the most efficient way to raise the Home Index when you buy them and sell them back.

Stars and Home Coins sit alongside tickets

Bud Tickets are one of three Homeland currencies, and they do not replace each other. Stars are spent on furniture, decorations and farm cosmetics, so they overlap with tickets on decoration but cover farm looks that tickets do not.

Home Coins are the Homeland's own main currency and pay for the heavy lifting: building, unlocking and levelling production facilities, farming upgrades, expanding plots, upgrading the RV, furniture decorations, re-rolling daily orders once your free re-rolls are used, and buying eggs, crafting goods, production materials and crop and tree seeds from the shop robot. You earn them by selling crops, surplus homeland items and crafted goods to the co-op store, by selling forageable materials gathered in the overworld, and by completing daily, emergency and buy orders. Those contracts are the recommended way to earn Home Coins.

The practical split is simple. Home Coins grow your Homeland. Bud Tickets, earned for free by Aniimo sitting at home, are what you spend on the Home Index.

Where to start

Put every spare Prismana and Sparkling Aniimo in the home building zone and empty the ticket jar before it reaches 1,000. Spend the tickets buying the cheapest decorations and selling them back to push your Home Index up. Earn Home Coins through contracts so your bigger Homeland upgrades never compete with that loop.
