The short version

  1. The brewed lemon and honey perfume, made from two honeys and lemons, sells for 900 Home Coins and is the best earner covered here.
  2. Apple cider vinegar uses eight apples and sells for 510 Home Coins, so it is worth making when apples are piling up.
  3. Incense needs honey, lavender and a further modification step, which makes it a poor recipe; put the honey into the perfume instead.
  4. Leaving processing or advanced crafting running indefinitely, such as overnight, burns through base raw materials that other recipes need.
  5. The RV Homestead's Anipod Maker gives you a continuous supply of normal Anipods, Anipod Pros and Anipod Megas.

Your Homeland pays you in two ways. It turns crops into Home Coins, and it keeps you stocked with Anipods. Most of what you earn from the first depends on which recipes you bother to run.

Selling a harvest raw is the easy option. Pushing it through a facility or two first is usually the better one, as long as you pick the right recipe and keep an eye on how much it uses up. This guide covers the recipes that pay, the one that does not, and the mistake that drains your stockpile without you noticing.

The recipes that pay best

The top earner covered here is a brewed lemon and honey product. It is a perfume recipe that takes two honeys and lemons, and it sells for 900 Home Coins. If you have honey, it should go here.

Apple cider vinegar comes next. It uses eight apples and sells for 510. That is a lot of apples for a single item, but it turns a crop you will grow plenty of into a sale worth having.

Incense is the one to skip. You make it from honey and lavender, and then it needs a further modification before it is finished. That extra step makes it a poor recipe, and it also takes honey that the perfume would have paid you much more for.

How processing chains build value

Every Homeland facility does one of two jobs. It either extracts raw materials or transforms them. What a facility makes can then go into another facility and come out as something worth more. That is the whole idea behind the Homeland economy: raw materials become more complex products, and the more complex a product is, the more it sells for.

The carousel mill is a simple example. It uses water to turn wheat into wheat meal, which is a step up from the grain you harvested.

The catch is that facilities will keep going for as long as you let them. If you leave processing or advanced crafting running indefinitely, overnight for example, it eats the base raw materials you needed for other items. Set a facility to make what you plan to sell and then stop it. Do not let it run unwatched.

Where to sell, and what the coins are for

You do not have to process anything to get paid. Harvested crops and homestead materials sell unprocessed in the home shop, and Homeland products of all kinds, crop harvests included, sell at the co-op store. Materials you forage in the overworld also sell for Home Coins, so a full bag from a trip out is worth something even if you never plant a seed.

Home Coins are the Homeland's own main currency. You spend them on building and levelling production facilities, farming upgrades, bigger plots, RV upgrades, furniture, daily order re-rolls and the shop robot's stock of seeds, eggs and materials. The full breakdown of what they buy has its own guide on this site; what matters here is that every facility you level up starts with coins from selling.

The Anipod Maker

The RV Homestead has an Anipod Maker, a facility that gives you a continuous supply of Anipods. It can produce normal Anipods, Anipod Pros and Anipod Megas. How the tiers differ and what each one is for is covered in the Aniipod tiers and crafting guide, so the short version here is that the Homeland keeps you supplied with them.

Where to start

Put your honey and lemons into the perfume, turn spare apples into cider vinegar, and leave incense alone. Never leave a facility running overnight. Sell whatever you do not need to process, and keep the Anipod Maker running.
