How to Spawn and Attract Wild Aniimo
Group Appearances, Prismatic Energy and Twined followers, and how to take a wild Aniimo without landing a hit.
The short version
- Nurturing triggers a Group Appearance: a large number of Aniimo spawn at once in that area.
- Capture a lot of Aniimo in one zone and you can release Prismatic Energy into that zone.
- While Twined, a small number of wild Aniimo of the same species will follow you.
- Stealth, traps and Aniipod throws together complete a capture with no attack on the target.

Wild Aniimo are not evenly spread and they do not wait for you. Most of the time you are working the other way round: you make a place busy, or you make one creature follow you, and then you decide how to take it.
Three things in the game push spawns in your favour. Nurturing brings a crowd. Capturing in bulk gives you something to put back into the zone. Being Twined pulls a handful of one species along behind you. None of them replace each other, and the one you want depends on whether you need volume or a specific creature.
The catching itself is a separate decision. You can fight for a capture, or you can finish one without ever hitting the target.
Making an area busy
Nurturing is the blunt tool. It triggers a Group Appearance, which spawns a large number of Aniimo at once in the area you are standing in. That is the move when you want volume: a lot of targets, in one place, at one time, instead of walking a region hoping something turns up.
Working a zone hard has a second payoff. Capture many Aniimo in a zone and you can then release Prismatic Energy into that zone. It is a reward for clearing out, so it arrives late rather than early, and it belongs to the place rather than to you. Pick the zones you intend to keep coming back to.
Getting one species to follow you
A Group Appearance gives you whatever the area has. When you want a particular creature, Twined does something narrower. While you are Twined, you can attract a small number of wild Aniimo of the same species to follow you.
Small number is the operative phrase. This is not a crowd and it is not a substitute for Nurturing. What it gives you is a short line of one species, already moving with you, which is a much easier thing to work with than a scattered spawn. It pairs naturally with the quiet approach below: the followers are already close, so the hard part of a no-combat capture is mostly done.
Group Appearance

- Species are not filtered.
Twined
- Attracts a small number of wild Aniimo.
- All of them are the same species.
- They follow you rather than spawning in place.
Catching without attacking
Wild Aniimo can be caught outside of battle. Combine stealth, traps and Aniipod throws and you complete the capture without attacking the target at all.
All three parts matter. Stealth gets you into position, the trap holds the situation still, and the Aniipod finishes it. Treat it as one sequence rather than three options, because the point of the route is that no hit ever lands on the creature you are trying to keep.
Your roster changes by region
Catching is not one loadout everywhere. Team rosters may need adjusting depending on which in-game region you are catching in, so a team that carried you through one region is not automatically the right team in the next one. Check it when you move, not after a run goes badly.
Operation: Egg Heist is its own case and wants its own look at the roster before you go in. Even the no-attack route is worth preparing for, since what you bring still shapes how comfortably you get into position.
Where to start
Use Nurturing when you want numbers and Twined when you want one species. Keep the stealth, trap and Aniipod sequence for anything you would rather not fight, and re-check your team every time you change region or queue into Operation: Egg Heist.
