Melobloom: Support Kit, Rose Garden and Spawns
Prismana Melobloom is in Rose Tower Woods until 5 October, surging Friday to Sunday. Here's where its habitat sits, how to get Budsquire to evolve, and what Rose Garden does.

The short version
- Melobloom's habitat is at the bottom of the maze near the waypoint, around White Rose Tower in Rose Tower Woods.
- Prismana Melobloom spawns in Rose Tower Woods during the Vein Abundance rotation from 28 September to 5 October, and the event Prismana come in a mass surge from Friday to Sunday.
- A failed Melobloom capture can't be retried until a full day has passed, so make your first attempt count.
- Budsquire only evolves into Melobloom once you complete the Flowers and Thorns journey quest.
- Rose Garden gives allies inside its circle a 70% increase to Grass critical damage for 30 seconds, and Prismana Melobloom adds a skill that cleanses negative effects from the whole team.
Melobloom is a support Aniimo. Its job is to make the rest of your team hit harder and stay standing. It is Grass-element, it also carries the Light element, and its kit rewards a team that lands critical hits.
This guide covers where Melobloom lives in Rose Tower Woods, the Prismana Melobloom window that is running right now, how to get one through the story or by evolving Budsquire, and what its trait and ultimate actually do in a fight.

Where to find Melobloom in Rose Tower Woods
Melobloom lives around White Rose Tower in Rose Tower Woods. Its habitat is at the bottom of the maze, close to the waypoint, so you can fast travel in and walk down rather than working through the maze from the top. It also turns up during the Vein Abundance event.
Rose Tower Woods is also where you nurture Melobloom. It has a designated plant there, so once you know the area you have one reason to come back after the catch, not just for it.
Aniimo Prismana: Melobloom's Vein Abundance window
Prismana Melobloom spawns in Rose Tower Woods during the Vein Abundance event rotation, from 28 September to 5 October. That window is open now, and it closes on Sunday.
Timing within the week matters. From Friday to Sunday the event Prismana spawn in a mass surge, and that surge includes the earlier evolution form of the weekly Prismana, Melobloom among them. If you only have a few hours to hunt, spend them at the weekend.
Bring Tubster. It is the recommended Aniimo for farming Prismana repeatedly, Prismana Melobloom included, and repeat farming is what a short rotation like this one asks of you.
The reason to bother is an exclusive skill. Prismana Melobloom can cleanse negative effects from the entire team, which the regular form does not offer. For a support whose whole purpose is keeping allies in the fight, that is a real upgrade.
Catching one and the Budsquire evolution quest
You have two routes to a Melobloom. The first is the story: you encounter Melobloom during a story mission, and after that encounter it becomes catchable.
The second is evolution. Budsquire evolves into Melobloom, but only after you complete the Flowers and Thorns journey quest. Levelling Budsquire on its own will not get you there; the quest is the gate.
Whichever route you take, be careful with wild attempts. A failed Melobloom capture can be tried again only after waiting a full day. Weaken it properly and use your best Anipod on the first throw, because a careless miss costs you a day, and during the Prismana window a day is a large share of the time you have.
Phantom Opening, Rose Garden and the rose mark
Melobloom's trait is called Phantom Opening. Its ultimate is Rose Garden, and that is where most of its value sits.
Rose Garden summons a magic circle on the ground. Whether the circle forms beneath Melobloom or beneath your allies is not settled, so treat positioning as something to check in your own fights. Allies standing inside the circle get a 70% increase to Grass critical damage for 30 seconds. That is a long window, long enough to line up your main damage dealer's burst inside it rather than rushing.
Melobloom also keeps the team topped up. When a target suffers three critical hits, Melobloom's rose mark blooms and heals all nearby allies for 5% of her HP. The two halves feed each other: Rose Garden pushes your team toward critical hits, and critical hits are what make the rose mark bloom. The more often your team crits, the more often that heal lands.

Where Melobloom fits on a Grass team
Melobloom fills the support slot, and its natural home is a Grass team built around Irisalis, where the Grass critical damage from Rose Garden lands on the attacker that wants it most. The full build is in our Grass Team Guide: Irisalis, Melobloom and Leafy. If you are comparing it against other supports, Best buff supports: Fragrancier, Luminelle and Tromba covers that side.
Where to start
If you want a Prismana Melobloom, farm Rose Tower Woods with Tubster this weekend, while the surge runs and before the window closes on 5 October. Respect the one-day lockout on failed captures. If you would rather evolve one, clear Flowers and Thorns so Budsquire can become Melobloom, then put it on a Grass team that crits often enough to keep the rose mark blooming.
