Prismana transformation: Orbs, stat retention and traits

A Prismana Orb costs 7,000 Windborn Stamps and keeps potentials, traits and personality intact. The one thing a form change can take from you is an Umbral look.

The short version

  1. A Prismana Orb turns an Aniimo from its basic form into its Prismana form, and it costs 7,000 Windborn Stamps in the Stamp Shop.
  2. Transforming with a Prismana Orb keeps innate potentials, traits and personality, so a Perfect Sparkling Alpha keeps its attributes.
  3. A Morph Orb only reaches forms of that species you have already obtained at least once. Whether it can reach a Prismana form at all is not settled.
  4. Changing an Umbral Aniimo's form, including to Prismana, permanently removes its Umbral appearance.
  5. Prismana forms often change or add an element, and skills unlocked by the Prismana form can be taught back to the standard form through Training.

If you own a Prismana form, or you're about to turn a good Aniimo into one, two questions come up first. Which orb do you need? And what does your Aniimo lose when it changes?

The short answer is reassuring. A Prismana Orb keeps the things that are hard to roll again: innate potentials, traits and personality. The one real trap is Umbral Aniimo, which lose their look for good.

This page covers both orbs, what carries over, how elements and skills change, and where Prismana forms come from in the first place.

Prismana Orbs: what they do and what they keep

A Prismana Orb transforms an Aniimo from its basic form into its Prismana form. You buy it from the Stamp Shop for 7,000 Windborn Stamps.

The important part is what survives the change. Transforming into the Prismana form preserves the Aniimo's innate potentials, traits and personality. So if you've worked to get a Perfect Sparkling Alpha with strong stats, you don't have to choose between those stats and the Prismana form. The orb keeps its attributes as they are.

That makes the orb the safe way to get a Prismana you actually want to use. You pick the best specimen you own, then change its form, rather than hoping a Prismana turns up with good rolls on its own.

7,000

Windborn Stamps per Prismana Orb

That is the Stamp Shop price, so decide which Aniimo gets the transformation before you spend.

Morph Orbs and the already obtained rule

A Morph Orb transforms an Aniimo into an alternate variant form of its species. The limit is that it only works on forms of that species you have already obtained at least once. It cannot hand you a form you've never had.

Whether a Morph Orb can reach the Prismana form is not settled. It is described as unable to turn an Aniimo into a Prismana form. It is also described, alongside the Prismana Orb, as a consumable that transforms an eligible owned Aniimo, such as one from Breezy Plains, into its Prismana variant, provided that Prismana form is already acquired and registered in your collection.

The practical takeaway is the same either way. Register the Prismana form first. If you want certainty, the Prismana Orb is the item built for the job.

Prismana Orb or Morph Orb

Prismana Orb

Morph Orb

  • Transforms an Aniimo into an alternate variant form
  • Only into forms of that species already obtained at least once

The Umbral warning

Changing an Umbral Aniimo's form permanently removes its Umbral appearance. That applies to a Prismana form and to a weather form alike.

Potentials, traits and personality carry over through a Prismana transformation. The Umbral look does not, and it does not come back. If the Umbral appearance is the reason you kept that Aniimo, leave its form alone.

Elements, skills and the stats question

A Prismana form usually plays differently from the normal one because its typing changes. Some Prismana forms swap an element. Many add a second element on top of the base one and become dual-element. Some gain no extra element at all. Check the specific form rather than assuming.

Owning the Prismana form also unlocks skills tied to it. Those unlocked Prismana skills can be taught to the standard form and to other family members through the Skills section of the Training menu, which means the form is worth registering even if you keep using the original.

Two things are genuinely unsettled. One is how far a Prismana differs from its base species: certain alternate forms are described as having a new element with matching exclusive skills, ultimates and attack moves, and they are also described as keeping exactly the same moves and abilities as the standard form. The other is base stats. Prismana forms are described both as having higher base stats than standard forms and as sharing identical base stats, which would make them purely cosmetic. In the same way, a Prismana is described both as a visual variant and as an empowered final evolution. What is agreed is that it is an exceptionally rare, radiant special form of a Nova-stage Aniimo, with a modified 3D model and an alternate colour palette, and not a rarity tier.

Where Prismana forms come from

You won't get a Prismana through standard catching, development or evolution. They need special discovery methods.

One is the nurture system: infusing energy into bloom fruit flowers can produce Prismana forms. Another is Prismana Flow, an environmental condition you trigger through weather manipulation. Aniimo exposed to it transform into special forms, and rare Prismana variants can spawn in that region while it lasts.

Once you have one, it can help you find more. Sending a Prismana Aniimo on RV trips can yield another Prismana of the same species, so a single one becomes a slow farm over time.

What to do with spare Prismana

Not every Prismana belongs on your team. The ones that don't are best placed in the Homeland building zone. Prismana and Sparkling Aniimo there generate Bud Tickets faster and in larger amounts than regular Aniimo, along with other extra rewards.

So a duplicate from an RV trip is not wasted. It either becomes a better specimen for your team or goes home to earn tickets.

Where to start

Register the Prismana form first, then use a Prismana Orb (7,000 Windborn Stamps) on your best specimen, since its potentials, traits and personality all carry over. Don't do it to an Umbral you want to keep looking Umbral. Teach the unlocked Prismana skills to the standard form through Training, and put spare Prismana in the Homeland for Bud Tickets.
