How evolution and form changes affect Aniimo potential
Evolving through Lumin, Gamma and Nova keeps a perfect grade, and a Prismana Orb keeps potentials, traits and personality. Neither form adds stats.
The short version
- Evolving an Aniimo from Lumin to Gamma to Nova preserves its perfect potential grading at every stage, Umbral Aniimo included.
- A Prismana Orb keeps an Aniimo's innate potentials, traits and personality, so a Perfect Sparkling Alpha keeps its attributes after transforming.
- Prismana forms, Sparkling status and Alpha status add no stats; potential is rolled when the Aniimo is caught.
- Umbral eggs and the Prismana Sparkelf from the event Spirit Egg are guaranteed to have perfect potential.
- Before releasing anything, check its Alpha status, special or weather form and potential grade, and keep common and good ones as Homeland workers.
Evolution and form changes in Aniimo are safe. Evolving an Aniimo does not reroll its potential, and turning it into its Prismana form does not wipe what you caught it for. You can hunt the best copy you can find at its first stage and then evolve or transform it without losing anything.
What these changes don't do is make a creature stronger than its roll. Prismana, Sparkling and Alpha all look special, and none of them adds stats. Potential is set when the Aniimo is caught, and it stays with that Aniimo from then on.
This page covers what carries over through Aniimo evolution and Prismana transformation, which labels matter for stats and which don't, and the few places where perfect potential is guaranteed.
Aniimo evolution keeps your potential grade
Evolution runs through three stages. Lumin (also written Lumen) is the first form, Gamma is the middle form and Nova is the final form. You meet most Aniimo in their base Lumin stage, and they evolve into Gamma and then Nova from there.
Evolving an Aniimo preserves its perfect potential grading across those stages. That holds for Umbral Aniimo as well. A perfect Lumin becomes a perfect Gamma, and then a perfect Nova.
So you can do your potential hunting early. Most Aniimo are first encountered at the Lumin stage, which makes that stage the place to catch until you find a grade worth keeping. Evolving it later costs you nothing.
- LuminFirst form. Also written Lumen. Most Aniimo are first met here.
- GammaMiddle form. Potential grade carries over.
- NovaFinal form. Perfect potential is still kept.
Aniimo Prismana: what the transformation keeps
Transforming an Aniimo into its Prismana form with a Prismana Orb preserves its innate potentials, its traits and its personality. A Perfect Sparkling Alpha keeps all its attributes after the change, so the orb is safe to use on your best catch.
The Prismana form is a cosmetic change only. Prismana variants have no higher stats than standard forms. You transform for the look or to fill out a collection, and the creature performs exactly as it did before. The orbs themselves and trait retention have their own guide on this site.
Sparkling, Alpha and the aura don't add stats
Sparkling status is purely visual. A Sparkling variant has no stat increase over the standard form of its species.
The sparkling potential aura is a different thing from the Sparkling (shiny) trait, even though the names are close. It is a separate marker, and an Aniimo can be Sparkling without showing the aura. Don't read a shiny as a sign of good potential.
Being an Alpha doesn't grant higher base stats either, and it doesn't guarantee high Potential. Potential is rolled when the Aniimo is caught, so an Alpha can come in above or below the standard for its species. The Alpha tag tells you nothing about stats. Check the grade itself.
Where perfect potential is guaranteed
A few sources take the roll out of it. Umbral eggs always hatch an Umbra Aniimo with perfect potential. The Prismana Sparkelf hatched from the event Spirit Egg is guaranteed to have perfect potential too, so it arrives already in its Prismana form with the best grade.
Wild Umbral Aniimo are less clear. They are described as always spawning with perfect base stats regardless of level, form or capture device, and also as able to spawn with normal, elite or perfect grades. This is not settled, so check each wild Umbral you catch instead of assuming.
For everything else, the odds have been improved in places. The spawn rate of wild Aniimo with 9/9 and 10/10 potential scores has been increased. Completing the second set of Research Center quests increases the chance of finding a perfect Dazmand by 200%, so do those quests first if Dazmand is on your list.

Check before you register or release
Catching one copy of a species is only the start. Collection goals also include better Potential, different traits, Sparkling versions, regional or alternate forms, and Prismana forms. Evolution and transformation keep potential intact, so the copy you choose to keep matters more than the stage it is at.
Before you register or release an Aniimo, check three things: its Alpha status, any special or weather form, and its potential grade (Common, Good, Elite or Perfect). A creature can look ordinary and still be the one you want.
Don't release the low grades without thinking about it either. Common and good rarity Aniimo are the workers you need for Homeland tasks, and releasing them leaves you short.
- CommonStill useful as a worker for Homeland tasks.
- GoodAlso worth keeping as a Homeland worker.
- EliteThe grade just below Perfect.
- PerfectKept through evolution and the Prismana transformation.
Where to start
Catch for potential at the Lumin stage, then evolve and transform as you like, because the grade, traits and personality all carry through. Treat Prismana, Sparkling and Alpha as looks rather than power. Use Umbral eggs and the event Spirit Egg when you want a guaranteed perfect Aniimo, and check every catch before you release it.
