Can auto-release discard special Aniimo forms?
Auto-releasing catches without reviewing them can discard special forms, such as weather forms, as well as evolutions or forms needed for split evolutions and the homestead.
Shiny and Sparkling catches are safe, but weather variants have no release protection.
While automated releases shield shiny and Sparkling specimens, the system treats alternate weather forms, split evolutions, and homestead utility creatures like ordinary duplicates. Skipping the catch report sends those forms straight into the discard pile before you ever see them in your boxes.
Storage can be cleared either in bulk or individually at the research console. Catching and reporting creatures earns Credits, but relying on automated filters to manage inventory guarantees that rare environmental variants will slip through.
Preventing Accidental Releases
Turn off automated release filters whenever you hunt in shifting weather or seek branching evolutionary lines. Reviewing the catch report is the only reliable way to catch alternate appearances before they are lost.
Inspect each specimen at the research console for Alpha status, unique weather variations, and potential grades across the Common, Good, Elite, and Perfect tiers. Marking a keeper with a star or locking it manually protects that creature from both individual transfers and bulk releases.
