Budclaw

Mating for life, they're always found in pairs. The heartbloom atop their shells indicates their state of happiness.

This family branches

  1. Egg
  2. Lumin
  3. Gamma
Creatures sharing a stage are alternatives from the same parent, not a sequence.

Getting one

Catch it

  • Zephyrus Landbridge
  • Nimbus Fields
  • Berylline Causeway
  • Beast Fang Ridge

Spawn points inside each region are mapped well elsewhere and we do not duplicate them.

Hatch it

Which egg produces Budclaw is not known. Named eggs lock their outcome, so one very likely does. We will not name it until we have watched one hatch.

Measuring under way

Landing the catch

Everything below is how catching works for any Aniimo — it is not specific to Budclaw. Mar 2026

  1. Wear it down first. Depleting an Aniimo's HP and dealing break damage improves capture chances.
  2. Come at it from behind. Approaching an Aniimo from behind before attempting a capture increases the catch rate.
  3. Better still, catch it asleep. Aniimo can be captured while they are sleeping.
  4. Put a trap in its path. Placing traps in a wild Aniimo's path increases the likelihood of capturing it.
  5. Throw the right tier. Aniipods come in multiple tiers, and higher tiers have higher base capture success rates, improving the odds of capturing Aniimo, including stronger creatures.
  6. Out-level it. Being a lower level than the target creature reduces catch odds.
  7. Expect to miss anyway. Aniimo displays a catch success chance when you aim an Aniipod at a wild Aniimo, and any throw below 100% can still fail after the pod shakes.

The full catching guide covers pod tiers, stealth and Alpha hunting at length.
