Guides › Alpha Aniimo: Finding, Fighting and Catching World Bosses
Can you catch Alpha Aniimo in the wild?
Whether wild Alpha Aniimo can be caught is unsettled: they are described both as becoming catchable once defeated in combat and as impossible to capture in the field.
This one is not settled.
Both versions are shown because the disagreement is itself information — usually it means the mechanic changed between beta builds.
Every capture attempt costs Primegy and relies on a low base success rate.
Primegy is separate from your in-combat stamina bar and regenerates over time. If your pool runs out, Glimmer can be spent a limited number of times each day to replenish Primegy energy for boss captures.
You throw consumable, cube-shaped devices called Aniipods once the combat ends, because Alpha Aniimo area bosses cannot be captured mid-fight. Common Anipods have a low base catch rate, around 10% per attempt, with Alpha Aniimo typically varying between 8 and 12 percent.
Securing the capture with Anipod Ultras
An Alpha Aniimo such as Stellarys can be caught with standard pods, but the outcome is not reliable. Throwing an Anipod Ultra guarantees a 100% capture rate on any Aniimo, including Alpha bosses and Umbral Aniimo. High-tier Anipods should be saved for Alphas rather than spent on standard wild spawns.
Do not confuse Alpha encounters with Omega Aniimo. While both are major boss encounters in the wild, Omega Aniimo cannot be captured.
