Guides › Aniipod tiers and crafting guide
Do higher tier Aniipods improve capture success rates?
Aniipods come in multiple tiers, and higher tiers have higher base capture success rates, improving the odds of capturing Aniimo, including stronger creatures.
Boss Aniimo require top tiers such as the Aniipod Ultra.
Standard, Pro, Mega, Hyper, and Ultra form the main progression of cube-shaped consumable devices thrown in combat. Using a low tier on an advanced creature drastically reduces your odds, wasting the item when the catch breaks out. Higher grades become necessary as target strength increases, making Megas, Hypers, and Ultras essential for securing difficult encounters.
Specialised utility devices
Certain pods trade standard tier progression for specific capture mechanics. The Aniipod Track, which was named Aniipod Trace during the beta, doubles capture chance and automatically tracks your target.
The Tumbler pod acts as an area of effect capture tool for swarms of weak creatures. It features a 3x base capture success multiplier that rises to 6x during wild surges, gather events, and high-density areas. A single Tumbler can secure up to 10 clustered Aniimo at once.
Sourcing higher tiers
You can craft Aniipods and Aniipod Pros at your Homeland housing plot by building an Aniipod Maker. Assigned Aniimo staff these facilities and keep producing pods over time, even when you log off. Pros also come from chests, quests, exploration, and shops.
Anipod Megas can be crafted in the Homeland or collected through quests, shops, tutorials, and battle pass rewards. Anipod Hypers cannot currently be crafted. You must acquire Hypers through adventure tokens, shops, or the companion handbook.
